Chapter 1-I Have A Dream

“Truly born an idiot, every time he resists, he will always get a beating. How stupid!”

“I never thought that being a garbage collector can earn one so much money, is there still logic in this world?”

“Haha, the more that grandfather of his earns as a garbage collector, the more we can steal from him!”

“That fool is gonna get fired today though. I fear that us elders can no longer receive money from our filial son.”

Three youngsters were talking amongst each other with saliva splashing everywhere, their hands filled with the money they had just stole previously. Yin Hao’s face turned gloomy as he scolded, “This fool is f***ing disappointing. To think he cut off this father’s source of revenue!”

Not far from the 3 men, there was a teen who was lying on the ground. He seemed to be around 15-16 years old and although his clothes were tattered with dust and ash all over, his appearance was instead, refined and pure.

The youth swept away his usual dull and lifeless look, displaying a look of clarity in between his eyebrows. Staring at the bright sky and vast waves of the seas, uneven thoughts were surging around inside.

“This is truly……my own body!”

He let out a huge sigh internally as his eyes momentarily revealed a level of maturity and resilience that exceeded those at this age.

At this moment, the soul of the teen was that of Earth’s Yang Qingxuan.

Ever since that youth from the ancient times disappeared, his consciousness or rather, his soul, started integrating into this body. It was just like someone finally returning home after a long period of time or birds returning to their nest after a day’s hunt.

If it was to be said that the soul of the great scholar Yang Qingxuan from ancient China was the main one, then the original soul contained in this body of Yang Qingxuan was just a remnant soul.

At this point of time, the two souls started to merge into one, letting everything go back to normal.

Soon after, everything seemed to fall into place. Bits and pieces of the memories of the remnant soul continuously filled the brain of Yang Qingxuan, allowing him to gain a rough understanding of his current situation and of this world.

He was a student of Tian Cong school and he had a grandfather on the side of his father called Yang Zhao. His grandfather worked as a cleaner to provide for his education.

Today was the school’s annual assessment exam. However, just as he was on the way to school, he ran into Xue Hao and two others who stole away his living expenses.

“Idiot, this uncle today is not in a good mood today. Come, bark for me to help me relax a little. I will only let you go if it sounds realistic.”

“Ha ha, this fool is very stupid. Learning how to bark like a dog suits him!”

Just as Yang Qingxuan was organising his thoughts, he heard the insults and ridicule that came from the three men and felt very disgusted inside.

“What the hell! When your father is speaking to you, don’t pretend to be dead on the ground!”

Xue Hao aimed his leg at Yang Qingxuan’s head before giving a hard kick.

As Yang Qingxuan saw the leg quickly approaching his head, he sat up in one quick motion and closely avoided that kick.

Xue Hao was stunned for a moment before he started thinking that it was all a fluke. He then angrily walked up and said, “You dare to dodge when your father is trying to kick you?” With that said, he attempted a second kick.

Yang Qingxuan suddenly turned to look over and in the blink of an eye, a cold expression covered his face as he asked, “Dost thou seek a contest to death?”

Xue Hao was shocked by his gaze as his heart started to tremble a little. He started to feel a little fear as he subconsciously asked, “What’s the meaning of that?”

“IT MEANS —— ARE YOU F***ERS LOOKING TO DIE?!”

As his voice faded, Yang Qingxuan’s face darkened a little and as he lightly struck out with his index and middle finger, causing a stream of Qi began building up within his palm.

It seemed to be a rather uninteresting and harmless finger tap but in reality, it was the <Phaseless Finger of Tribulation>, a supreme ancient Chinese martial technique. With his two souls acting in tandem, his Qi began to violently surge as an endless amount of energy permeated from his body.

Before this finger, all barriers are rendered into nothingness as the illusion of true and false is overturned on its head. As if poking through tofu, this attack easily penetrates through Xue Hao’s calf. With a “pop”, a bloody hole is made in his calf.

“AH! ARGH——!” A miserable yet mournful shriek filled the sky.

Xue Hao’s face was deathly pale while his eyes were wide open like that of a dead fish as though he was unable to believe what had just happened.

The area of Xue Hao’s calf which Yang Qingxuan aimed his finger tap at had a wound the size of an infant’s fist. Fresh blood was flowing out by the second with a constant “gu gu” sound. It only took a split moment before the entire area was dyed red with blood.

He was so stunned that he did not know how to react at all.

Zhou Cang and Hu Ding were also stupefied for some time before it hit them and they angrily roared, “FOOL, WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!”

With that, one of them formed a palm while the other clenched his right hand as they both ran forward, attacking from both sides.

In their eyes, Yang Qingxuan is the lowest form of garbage and he is at their disposal whether they want to bully him or extort money from him. It was like this for the past three years and they believed that this would continue into the future.

Their discrimination towards Yang Qingxuan and towards the weak was something that was deeply ingrained in them.

However, when the weakling that they always thought was similar to trash had suddenly rebelled, this caused the two men to fly into a rage out of humiliation and decide to kill the weakling.

After using that one move, Yang Qingxuan just stood there without making any other movement. His mind was filled with all kinds of memories from the past……

The rule of the world was that the strong will always be respected. The weak will always be treated as ants like a fish on a chopping board to be insulted by everyone and taken advantage of.

“Since you are one of the later generations of the Yang family, this grandfather will give his all and do everything to cultivate you into being a true warrior!” Yang Zhao had a face full of joy and expectation for his grandson but deeply hidden in his eyes was a sense of melancholy and sorrow.

Little Yang Qingxuan at that time was unable to understand that sorrowful look but he was able to see the grizzled white hair on the temples of his grandfather’s head, able to see the old and bleak shape of the body, the view of his back that was bent crooked by the strong cold winds.

This view of his back seemed to be as heavy as a mountain and the sight of it seemed to be forever be ingrained in his memory, constantly pushing him forward.

In his heart, he might not have understood the cruel laws of the world and might not have wanted to become someone outstanding.

He just had one small notion that no matter how much his experiences bring him bitter hardship, how they ridicule at him, how much humiliation he receives, how much he has to tolerate and no matter how lost, dejected, painful or hopeless he feels, he will never give up at all!

Seasons passed by and it was not long before fifteen years have passed.

“Because I have a dream!”

“I want to become a true warrior!”

That seedling that was left at the bottom of his heart had finally taken root with the return of the main soul and started to grow……

Coming back to reality, Yang Qingxuan slowly opened his two eyes. As he opened them, the corners of his eyes unexpectedly had a faint light while a strong and dark murderous aura shot out off his eyes.

He indifferently patted his outfit, shaking off the dust on it. The white Chang Pao he wore seemed to dance around on his body like running water.

Hu Ding and Zhou Cang trembled simultaneously as a multitude of thoughts flowed into their minds. They strengthened the qi around their hands as they shouted, “Brat, you still dare to resist?!”

“Time to pay back your debts!”

Yang Qingxuan’s face turned cold and with a <Return of the Sand Geese>, he landed a flying kick onto Xue Hao’s crotch, creating a loud “bang” explosion. Xue Hao let out a blood-curdling screech as his face turned purple, his entire body being lifted into the air from the hit.

(TL: I can’t imagine an explosion at all and I tried my best with that skill name……)

Hu Ding and Zhou Cang’s attacks were just about to land when they snarled, “BASTARD, YOU DARE!”

Yang Qingxuan’s lip twitched as he sneered while his hands unhurriedly started to draw a circle in the front of his body.

In one move, the wind started to blow and with consecutive moves from his two hands, a layer of wind appeared in front of him, producing a constant hissing sound as it slowly expanded.

“Overbearing Dragon of Repent!”

The leaves that littered the floor started to rise into the air as though a coiling dragon had appeared out of thin air. Yang Qingxuan’s face was clear and collected as he stood there in the midst of the falling leaves as though a war god had descended from the heavens.

In the empire of Ancient China, the martial dao was prosperous. The Capitulating Dragon Hand Arts had a total of 18 Qi levels. The Qi was unrestrained like the sea, a simple move resembled a mountain range that continued on and on forever.

Yang Qingxuan had been learning this particular hand art for roughly 10 years. With one blow, the 18 Qi levels could be released together at one go. The origin energy in his body was ceaselessly flowing within his meridians like the waves of a large river, unending and without rest.

Even if it were the steel armored vehicles from Earth or a genetically modified person, this one blow would still annihilate them all.

A perfect union between the body and the soul allowed the might of this one blow to be displayed to its peak and from within his body were constant sounds of “pa pa” caused by the bones and the opening of the meridians. It wasn’t long before all of his meridians were open and this new opportunity at life again felt like it was just the start of many good things in his way.
